Signing in and your account
I cannot sign in.
Use your username, not your email address, and check that Caps Lock is off. After 10 wrong passwords, sign-in waits 15 minutes. If you have forgotten your password, tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in page and then Have a recovery code?. Without a recovery code, ask your coach or the Manager to set a new password.
My account says it is waiting for a parent's consent.
Players under 13 who sign up themselves can sign in only after their coach or the Manager has confirmed that a parent agrees. Ask your coach. A sign-up that nobody confirms is deleted after 30 days.
Coaches, scouts and agents: I am asked for a code from an authenticator app.
Accounts that can see players' data need a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on a new device. That device is then remembered for 30 days. If you changed phone or lost the app, ask the Manager to reset your two-step sign-in.
How do I delete my account?
Account & sharing → Delete my account, then confirm with your password. It cannot be undone.
Recording with your phone
How do I record with my phone?
Session Analysis → New session → Use this phone. In the PlayerTrack360 Android app, tap Start recording: it keeps recording with the screen locked. In a browser on a phone or tablet, you record on the page: keep it open and the screen on. On iPhone and iPad you can also record with a GPS app and import the file. The clock starts outdoors when the phone has a good GPS position.
I cannot see Use this phone.
It appears only on phones and tablets. On a computer, open playertrack360.com on your phone instead. A coach sees it after choosing one of their players.
Where should I wear the phone?
Tight against your body in an armband or a running belt, in the same place for the whole session. Not loose in a pocket or in your hand.
How do I get the Android app?
The PlayerTrack360 app for Android is being tested on Google Play. On About → Test the PlayerTrack360 app for Android, join the test group with your Gmail address, become a tester, then install it from Google Play. Android phones only.
Android: the recorder says Start from PlayerTrack360.
Open the website in the PlayerTrack360 app and tap Session Analysis → New session → Use this phone → Start recording. The recorder links itself to your account and starts. Linking the same phone again replaces the old link.
Android: no positions were recorded while the screen was locked.
Turn off Power saving (Settings → Battery → Power saving) and set Settings → Apps → PlayerTrack360 → Battery → Unrestricted. Power saving switches GPS off while the screen is locked. The app warns you before you start.
iPhone: the recording paused.
A browser cannot record with the screen locked. Tap Resume when you are back. During training, set Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock → Never and use an armband.
iPhone or iPad: how do I record with the screen locked?
Use a GPS recorder app, for example the free Open GPX Tracker. Start it outdoors, lock the phone and train. Afterwards, save the track and share it to Files, then on Session Analysis tap Import GPS file and choose the file. Gaps in the recording are shown and nothing is filled in.
Is Open GPX Tracker safe to use?
It is a free, open-source app, not made by PlayerTrack360, with no ads and no account. It only asks for your location, and its developer states in the App Store that it collects no data. The track stays on your phone until you share the file, and PlayerTrack360 receives only the file you import. Tap Pause to stop recording at once.
The import says it is not a GPX file, or that the positions have no time.
Export the recording as a GPX file from the app: in Open GPX Tracker, tap the file, then Share → Save to Files. A file without a time for each position cannot be imported.
Why is my imported session only Fair?
Open GPX Tracker saves no accuracy and only whole seconds. PlayerTrack360 then labels the results as rough estimates: top speed is a 5-second average and short sprints may be missed. Nothing is filled in.
It says Not sent.
The recording stays on your phone. Send it again when you have a connection. Sending twice never adds the session twice.
Why is my phone session's quality Fair or Poor?
The reasons are listed with the session, for example weak GPS, gaps or a short recording. Start outdoors with a clear view of the sky, wait until the clock starts, and wear the phone in an armband. Phone results are estimates; the tracker is more accurate.
AI Coach
Why can I ask the AI Coach only a limited number of questions?
Each account can ask 5 questions a minute and 40 in 24 hours; the AI Coach shows how many you have used. Each answer is written by an AI service that costs money and energy, and the limit keeps it available for every player. Questions older than 24 hours no longer count. If the AI Coach is paused for everyone, the monthly budget has been used, and it opens again on the 1st of next month.
Linking your tracker
Where do I find the QR code?
On the sticker on your tracker. Under the QR code are the tracker ID (PT-…) and a 10-character link code.
How do I link my tracker?
Account & sharing → My tracker → Scan QR code, or type the tracker ID and link code. Then tap Link tracker. You can also scan the sticker with your phone's own camera app: it opens My tracker with everything filled in.
It says the tracker ID and link code do not match.
Check every character; O and 0, and I and 1, count as the same. Each code works only once: if the tracker was already linked, or a new code was made, ask the Manager for a new link code.
It says: Too many link attempts.
After 10 tries in an hour, linking waits. Wait an hour and check the code carefully.
I got a tracker from a teammate.
Your teammate taps Give to another player in My tracker and shows you the new QR code on their screen. Scan it in your own account. The old sticker no longer works.
Scanning the QR code
The camera shows only a black picture.
Your browser may not use the camera. On iPhone: Settings → Bluefy (or Safari) → Camera → on, then close and reopen the browser. On Android (the PlayerTrack360 app runs in Chrome or Samsung Internet): Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions → Camera → Allow, and in the browser allow the camera for playertrack360.com (Settings → Site settings → Camera). Also check that the phone's Camera access switch is on. Until then, choose a photo of the QR code, or type the ID and code.
It says: Camera access was not allowed.
You or the browser said no to the camera. Allow the camera for this site in the browser settings and try again, or choose a photo.
It says no tracker QR code was found in the photo.
Take the photo closer and straight on, with the whole code in the picture, in good light and without glare.
It says the QR code is not a PlayerTrack360 tracker code.
That QR code belongs to something else. Use the code on your tracker's sticker, or the one shown when a tracker was given to you.
Connecting and syncing
Which phone or browser should I use?
iPhone: the Bluefy browser (Safari cannot use Bluetooth). Android: Chrome or the PlayerTrack360 app. Computer: Chrome or Edge. Any device where you are signed in works: the tracker opens for your account, one device at a time.
The tracker does not appear in the Bluetooth window.
Switch the tracker on: hold its button for 3 seconds. Keep it close. A tracker takes one connection at a time: if a phone or computer shows Football Tracker as connected in its Bluetooth settings, disconnect it there (keep the pairing). Charge the tracker if the battery is low.
It says: No tracker was selected.
The Bluetooth window closed without a choice. Tap Connect tracker again and choose Football Tracker.
It asks me to pair, or says Encryption is insufficient.
Tap Pair when your phone asks. If it keeps failing: on iPhone, Settings → Bluetooth → Football Tracker (i) → Forget This Device; on Android, remove Football Tracker in the Bluetooth settings. Restart the tracker and connect again. Recordings on the tracker are not affected.
It says this is another tracker, or that it is linked to another player.
A tracker opens only for the player it is linked to, their coach and the Manager. Check that you picked your own tracker and that you are signed in to your own account.
It says the tracker did not accept the answer.
The phone needs internet while connecting, because our server gives the answer that opens the tracker. Check your connection, then disconnect and connect again.
It says the tracker is marked as lost.
Open My tracker, enter your password and tap I found it. Then connect again.
The download stops or the tracker disconnects.
Keep the page open and the screen on until it finishes; switching app or tab stops Bluetooth on iPhone. Stay close to the tracker and tap Download & sync again.
It says the tracker needs new firmware or is not set up yet.
The Manager has to update or set up the tracker first. Contact us.
Lost tracker and handing over
I lost my tracker.
My tracker → enter your password → Mark as lost. Then nobody can open it or download from it, not even with the sticker. When you find it, tap I found it with your password.
I gave my tracker away by mistake.
Before the other player links it, tap Cancel, keep my tracker below the QR code. If you closed the page, type the ID and code shown on the screen in My tracker yourself, or ask the Manager.
What happens to recordings on a tracker I give away?
Sessions you have synced stay in your account. Recordings still stored on the tracker go with it, so sync them before you hand it over.
Sessions and results
My session is missing.
A tracker session appears after it has been synced with Download & sync; a phone session after it has been sent. Check that you are signed in to the right account.
The distance or speed looks wrong.
Positions come from satellites and are estimates. Start the recording outdoors with a clear view of the sky and wait a moment before you play. Indoor halls, tall buildings and roofs make results less accurate.
Still need help?
If something still does not work, contact us. Tell us what you did, what you expected, what happened instead, the exact message on the screen, your phone or computer and browser, and when it happened.
Add photos: the contact form opens your email app. Attach screenshots or photos that show the problem there, for example the message on the screen or the light on the tracker.
How to take a screenshot: iPhone, press the side button and volume up together. Android, press power and volume down together. Computer, press Print Screen (on Windows also Windows + Shift + S).
Never send your password or recovery code. Do not send a photo of an unused QR sticker; write the tracker ID instead.
Help keep PlayerTrack360 free
PlayerTrack360 is free for every player during the test period. The AI Coach and the servers cost money, and the costs grow with every new player. A small donation by Swish or PayPal helps keep it running for everyone.
